Who Is Affected?

The holiday impacts all personnel employed by the government in Dubai unless their work schedule includes shifts or they conduct essential public service management. The government departments responsible for maintaining service continuity during the holiday season will create schedules for exempt personnel to maintain delivery of essential services for residents and visitors.

Private Sector Holidays

The public sector announcement about Eid Al Fitr holidays will be followed by a distinct notification from the UAE Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE) that focuses on private sector holiday arrangements. Private sector businesses usually follow public sector holidays though their dates might change according to business operations needs.
